Greenwich Council has had an event to mark 150 days to go until the Tall Ships Festival arrives in Greenwich. Around 50 tall ships will be on the Thames, with three mooring points at Greenwich and Woolwich and some smaller vessels will go into West India Dock. The ships should be a great spectacle on the river and will be the biggest event of its kind in London since the Tall Ships Race of 1989, footage of which i posted up on Greenwich.co.uk a few years ago. There will be also be a Crew Parade through Greenwich with up to 1000 taking park.
