It was widely predicted that today would be a very unpleasant day in terms of air quality so I went and took these photos and have compared them other pictures taken at the same places last year. View from Severndroog Castle (Admittedly the contrast is especially stark because the previous photos were taken on particularly nice, clear days)
Good grief. It looks almost like Photoshop has been used to improve the older images and the reverse on the new ones.
In some respects, I'm glad the weather was rubbish for the eclipse today. The smog has been getting worse recently and perhaps today's events will be a bit of an eye-opener for people (sic). Thanks for highlighting this.
