The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, based in Woolwich, were doing their exercises out in Charlton Park this morning in the warm, spring sunshine. After charging around the park for an hour or so, they returned to the barracks but one gun was taken to Woolwich Common where it was fired about ten times. The sound of the bang was being recorded for, I was told, use by the Imperial War Museum. Here are some photos I took... With Charlton House in the background Shooters Hill!
